Track Information

The Alexander Stadium in Birmingham is a world-class athletics venue, notably redeveloped for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. It features a nine-lane international track, comprehensive field event facilities, and a range of modern amenities, making it a key hub for athletics in the UK and home to the renowned Birchfield Harriers club

    Changing Facilities: Yes, changing rooms and showers are available inside the main building, including dedicated customer changing facilities in the new fitness and 3G area.
  • Parking

    On-site parking is available, including accessible parking. For major events, pre-booking or reliance on public transport/park and ride schemes may be required as parking at or near the venue can be limited.

    Public Transport Access:

    Bus: Buses 51, X51, and 52 depart from Birmingham city centre (get off at Perry Avenue, 8-minute walk). Buses 33, 907, 907A, 934, 935, 936, 937, 937A, and 997 also serve the area (get off at Perry Park, 14-minute walk).

    Train: Perry Barr station is the nearest, approximately a 20-minute walk from the stadium. It's on the Birmingham to Walsall line with regular services via Birmingham New Street.

    Gym: Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm; Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am to 5pm.

    High Performance Centre: Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm (subject to private bookings); Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 5pm (subject to private bookings).
